The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday protested against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's method of governance and the hike in power rates.
Party leader Vijay Goel said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is incapable of running a government, as none of the promises they had made, have been fulfilled. Instead, the situation was becoming worse with hikes in power rates and of LPG.
"This march of BJP is to tell the people that the promises that the AAP made were false, and to create pressure on the party. They had promised to cut down the electricity prices by 50%, but instead it has increased by 8%," said Goel.
"Also, the corrupt electricity companies have threatened to cut power supply in the capital for ten hours as the government is not paying them. It was important find a solution for these companies, so that, the people did not have to bear the brunt of it," he said.
"Neither have they been able to cut electricity costs, nor have they been able to provide full time electricity. Even the LPG gas prices have gone up during their governance. They should have created a completion between TATA and BSES to get a solution to this issue," he added.

He further said the BJP will keep protesting on the streets as there seemed to be a state of anarchy in the capital.
"Delhi seems to be in a state of anarchy, and we will keep demonstrating on the streets till the time these people are not removed from power. After all that has happened the AAP should not remain power at all," said Goel.
"They call the system corrupt and themselves honest although they did not ask Delhi Law minister Somanth Bharti to resign. They are propagating corruption in their party and calling others corrupt," he added.
Reacting to the hike in power rates, Kejriwal had earlier said that the Comptroller and Auditor General's (CAG) report on discoms would ascertain the lack of funds as stated by power distribution companies.
"They are saying they don't have funds. Where did all the money go? CAG audit will tell us where the money went. Let us wait for the report," he said.
On Friday, the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) announced a hike in the power tariff ranging from 6 to 8 percent applicable from February 1 onwards.
