The government's disclosure of more names of those allegedly holding illegal money abroad on Monday evoked mixed reactions with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) calling it only a "beginning" of more to come.
Even as a debate raged over the black money issue, some television channels reported undisclosed names connected with the Congress as being under the scanner.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said the Modi government has started acting on its promise to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks and today's affidavit is the first step in that direction.

Advocating there was a need to look at the issue with broader perspective, party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said "Congress' stand is clear and remains unchanged. It is not an occasion for press sensationalisation and political titillation".
Replying to questions about names of Congress leaders figuring in the list, Singhvi said, "If there is a name, the individual concerned will answer it and it is not proper to take names from the podium of party office."
Another Congress leader and former Union minister, Salman Khurshid, said the party has no problem if all names are put out in public domain.
Communist Party of India asked the government to come out with names of all those who have allegedly stashed illegal money abroad, saying the Narendra Modi-led dispensation lacked political will to do so.
"The government has to answer a lot of questions as there is a reluctance on its part to give out all the names. This shows that the government lacks the political will and determination to fulfil its election promises," party national secretary D Raja said.
Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani, who had raked up the issue in the Supreme Court, on Monday accused the government of "resiling and even going back" on the stand taken by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime for disclosing all information and documents supplied by Germany on unaccounted money parked by Indians in Liechtenstein Bank.
He said after the July 2011 verdict on black money, the UPA government had only sought recall of direction for formation of special investigation team but did not ask for modification or clarification on the issue of Liechtenstein
Bank accounts which is now being sought by the NDA government.
