BJP-ruled states are not opting for prohibition: CM Nitish Kumar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today addressed a rally to ban liquor in Jewar here and alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states are "not opting for prohibition".

He claimed that following imposition of complete ban on liquor, accidents and crime have declined in Bihar and said after the ban other sources of revenue have increased in the state.

The Bihar chief minister also said liquor should be banned in Uttar Pradesh too.

Janata Dal (United) Bihar chief Vashisth Narain Singh, MP R C Singh and MLA Shyam Rajak were among those present in the rally.
