BJP and SAD on Wednesday decided to form a six-member committee to analyse the performance of the two parties in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha polls in Punjab which gave room to fledgling outfit AAP with four seats.

State BJP leaders, led by party's Punjab affairs in charge Shanta Kumar on Wednesday met Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal here to discuss the fact-finding committee report, made by senior BJP leader Balramji Dass Tandon on the Lok Sabha poll results in the state. "The constitution of the six-member committee will be finalised soon by the two parties," Kumar told reporters.

"We had a long meeting with Chief Minister Badal and we kept all issues before him. He agreed that we need to have an in-depth analysis into all the issues," he said. "For this, a six-member Committee, three members from each side, will go into details into all these issues and very soon it will come out with its report," Kumar said. Punjab BJP president Kamal Sharma told reporters later that, "We put before the Chief Minister the recommendations of the Tandon committee report. We had long discussion with him on a gamut of issues."
