With IAS officer Ashok Khemka making fresh allegations in Robert Vadra land deals in Gurgaon, BJP today demanded an explanation from Congress and demanded a thorough probe into charges of 'flasification' of documents.

Khemka today charged Vadra "falsified documents" for 3.53 acres of land in Gurgaon and "pocketed" large premium on a commercial colony license.

BJP said as charges of "falsification" have come to light, it calls for a proper investigation.

"Whatever facts have come to public domain, it is a serious issue. Congress owes an explanation. This is not a private matter. When there are charges of falsification, it needs to be properly investigated," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.

In an apparent reference to Congress President Sonia Gandhi coming out in support of suspended UP IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, Javadekar said "you can't apply two rules for different people".

He said "if charges are for falsification and are serious, it calls for a proper investigation.
