BJP has condemned the lathicharge of its youth wing activists today by police in Lucknow as they were protesting against the deteriorating law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh and said that the Samajwadi Party government in the state does not deserve to be in office.
The protest by members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) outside the UP Assembly was aimed at "awakening" the Akhilesh Yadav government "out of its slumber" about the deteriorating law and order situation and poor availability of power in the state, BJP said.
"It is the frustration of the SP government (which prompted) it to use force on unarmed youth protesters. The brutality with which they were beaten up, the echo of this brutal act will be heard all over.
