The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has expelled two local leaders for anti-party activities, Party general secretary said.

BSP leaders Kunwer Hasan and Haji Anwar Hasan were expelled from the party on Wednesday for supporting their brother, a Congress candidate, for the upcoming by-polls for the Kairana Assembly seat, said Nasimuddin Siddiqui, party general secretary.

While Kunwer Hasan had contested as the BSP candidate for Kairana constituency in the Lok Sabha polls, Anwer Hasan was the party candidate for the constituency in assembly polls.

The party has decided not to contest the by-polls to Kairana Assembly seat scheduled for October 15.
