Buildings allocated to house two governments

Raj Bhavan at Hyderabad has been divided in four blocks each for both the states

Governor ESL Narasimhan today accepted the report for allocation of physical assets submitted by the official level committee, among other proposals, and asked the chief secretary to present them to the Centre.

To house the two governments  in the existing Secretariat complex,  the A,B,C,D blocks have been allotted to the Telangana government and the H, J, K and L blocks have been allotted to the residual Andhra Pradesh, according to a statement issued by the Raj Bhavan.

The security wing has proposed the Lake View guest house on the Raj Bhavan road as camp office of the chief minister of residual Andhra Pradesh while leaving the existing chief minister’s camp office for the chief minister of Telangana.
 

The principle of minimum dislocation from the existing premises was followed in allotment of buildings to various heads of departments in the Secretariat. The committee has interacted with all the heads of departments in respect of apportioning the office space.There are 179 departments located in Hyderabad, according to the statement.

The officials also presented a report on the measures to be adopted for the progress and development of the two successor states in areas of education and infrastructure.  The Governor accepted all the proposals made by different committees constituted in the wake of AP Reorganisation Act, 2014,  and asked the chief secretary to submit them to the Centre.
