Congress slams AAP for comparing sacked minister with Nehru

AAP's Ashutosh defends Sandeep Kumar, says consensual sex is not a crime, talks of Nehru's affairs and Mahatma Gandhi's experiments

Miffed over AAP leaders Ashutosh’s comparison of sacked Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar and political giants like Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi, the Congress said it was deliberate attempt to damage control after the AAP was rocked by a sleaze CD.

“Delhi CM Kejriwal removed the said minister after viewing the said CD within half an hour. Later when the leader said he was sacked for being a dalit, Ashutosh wrote a blog comparing him with Nehru and Gandhi,” Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken said.
“This is in bad taste not even worth reacting,” he said.

Kejriwal had removed Kumar after a CD surfaced showing him in a compromising position with two women.
 

In his blog, Ashutosh defended his party colleague saying consensual sex between two adults was not a crime and mentioned India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru's  reported affairs Mahatma Gandhi’s “spiritual wife” Sarla Chaudhary in 1910 later his experiments of sleeping naked with his nieces to test his celibacy.

Maken also attacked Kejriwal for neglecting governance issues like law and order and water logging in Delhi while noting that AAP was full of contradictions as its ideologies had become irrelevant.

Maken further attacked Kejrwal over stings showing AAP was charging money for party nominations against of Punjab assembly polls next year.

“AAP is getting exposed. They have no internal Lokpal,” he said.
