Congress chief ministerial candidate in Uttar Pradesh Sheila Diskhit on Monday said Congress would form government after 27 years in the state in the 2017 Assembly elections and BJP would stand fourth in the polls.
Dikshit, who reached here tonight from Delhi as part of Congress' poll campaign, said the state has been going backwards all these years under the regimes of Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and BJP.
She asked the people to vote for Congress if they want the state to progress.

"On the basis of the development work done by the Congress government in Delhi, the party will replicate it in the state if it comes to power," she said while addressing a gathering here after three-day bus yatra '27 saal UP behaal' reached here tonight.
UP Congress chief Raj Babbar said Dikshit would work for the development of the state just like she did in Delhi.
He also attacked SP, BSP and BJP for their failure to make Uttar Pradesh a developed state.
