The Delhi government today trained its guns on Finance minister Arun Jaitley in the DDCA scam, with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal trashing BJP demands for an apology. An aggressive Kejriwal retorted that Jaitley should be ready to face a cross examination. Meanwhile senior advocate Gopal Subramanian wrote to the CM asserting that Delhi Assembly has rights of state legislature to order a probe which should be telecast live, stressing that cricket needs transparency. The Lt. Governor has been alleging that the probe was not legal.

"BJP almost begging me for an apology. Sorry. I won't oblige them. Let Jaitley ji be cross-examined in defamation cases. Let truth prevail," Kejriwal tweeted.

Hitting out at the Centre, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia asserted that Delhi government's initial findings had found massive irregularities and called for a probe to name the accused. Both Kejriwal and Sisodia made it clear that the probe under Subramaniam has just started and Jaitley has not been declared taint free as is being claimed by BJP.

In a series of tweets since the morning Kejriwal said, "No clean chit ever given by any Del govt probe. That report confirmed several instances of wrongdoings but did not fix responsibility." "It didn't mention ANYONE's name and recommended Enquiry Commission to fix responsibility, which we have done now."

Meanwhile senior advocate Gopal Subramanian wrote to the CM "I have already expressed in the media and I wish to assure you that I have no bias of any kind against DDCA or its office bearers or anyone."

Rejecting the critical views being put forward, regarding Delhi government's jurisdiction, Subramanium stated, "In view of the express words of Article 239AA of the Constitution of India and in particular the Legislative Assembly being treated as a state legislature for the purposes of Article 324 to Article 326 and 329 of the Constitution, I am left in no doubt that this is a state legislature for all practical purposes." Declaring that he too was a cricket lover and wanted transparency to be back in teh game.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia demanded to know, "We just want Jaitley to say whether or not he was the DDCA President from 1999-2013? If yes, why is he running away from probe?" .

"Why there is so much rush to absolve Jaitley? Why so much pressure? Probe by the Commission of Inquiry has begun yesterday only. Gopal Subramaniam whom we appointed as its chief had given the letter of acceptance yesterday," Sisodia asked.

Meawhile suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad today demanded a CBI probe into graft allegations against DDCA and insisted that his fight was against corruption in the cricket body and not against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
