The never ending bitter saga between the Aam Aadmi Part and Delhi Police got a social media twist when AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got a response on twitter from Delhi Police over his "thulla" remark.
Posting the picture of a child who had been rescued by a policeman, Madhur Verma, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, tweeted: "One of our so called 'Thu**a' who rescued 4 yr old Khushbu from Kamla Nagar & reunited with her mother!!"
Responding to a question in a TV interview on the ACB row, Kejriwal, who has often accused the Centre of tying its hands over the law and order question, said, "These people want that even if a thulla (cop) is caught demanding money from the street vendors, we can't try him." Thulla is a slang mostly used in and around the national capital.
A Delhi Police constable on Sunday lodged a complaint of criminal defamation against Kejriwal for allegedly using a derogatory word about cops, according to a PTI report.
A constable posted at the Gobind Puri Police Station has filed a complaint against the chief minister, DCP (South-East) Mandeep Singh Randhawa said.
A senior police official said Constable Harvinder, who is posted at the Gobind Puri Police Station, has alleged in his complaint that he was hurt by the word 'thulla' which the chief minister had used for policemen during his interview.
