Senior Congress leader and two time Madhya Pradesh chef minister Digvijay Singh has leveled a series of allegations against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan led BJP government in the state.
Digvijay Singh has written to the Union Health Minister demanding a CBI inquiry into drug trials in government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh which has allegedly led to loss of 100 lives.
Singh has gone onto accuse the state government of “protecting” the concerned doctors. In a second letter, Digvijay Singh has charged the state government of being involved in a fake admission racket through which 700 students were admitted to MBBS courses.

With Congress making a desperate bid to come to power in the upcoming Assembly polls, political observers say that such attacks will only escalate. The Congress is fervently hoping that Chouhan will be confronted with a two term anti-incumbency. The party has appointed young face Jyotiraditya Scindia as campaign committee chief for the November 25 polls.
In what is being described as a bid to “discredit” the BJP chief minister’s rule, Digvijay Singh has even drawn a direct link between the fake admission and the chief minister’s residence, alleging that several phone calls were made to the Chief Minister's residence during the examination.
Challenging the chief minister to turn the probe over to the CBI, Digvijay Singh has demanded that this “large scale corruption” needs a central probe.
