Says exit polls are imaginary, illusive and unrealistic

Days after the Election Commission banned exit polls till December 4, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said such surveys are "imaginary, illusive and unrealistic", and do not reflect the actual picture.

"We should not infer conclusions instantly. The exit polls are just imaginary, illusive and unrealistic," Badal told reporters here.

He said in exit polls, the SAD-BJP alliance was projected to loose in the 2012 Punjab Assembly polls but the actual picture was completely different and "we were voted to power consecutively for the second record term."

On the issue of internal differences, Badal said any constituent, ally or party can have its own views, but that does not amount to a difference.

"Even members of a same family have a difference of opinion over an issue, but that doesn't mean that there is no harmony," he said.
