Gokul Pati appointed new Chief Secretary

Pati who would be the 41st chief secretary of the state, is likely to take charge on August 1

The Odisha government today appointed 1978 batch IAS officer and Secretary, Defence Production in the Union government, Gokul Chandra Pati as the next chief secretary of the state through a notification.

The notification was issued by the general administration department. Pati who would be the 41st chief secretary of the state, is likely to take charge on August 1, said official sources.

The government also effected a minor reshuffle at the top bureaucratic level. U N Behera, additional chief secretary (Finance) has been given the additional charge of the Home department. Vipin Kumar Saxena, principal secretary (Home) has been appointed as Special Resident Commissioner, a post that he had held earlier. S K Vashisht, Revenue Divisional Commissioner- RDC (central division) has been allowed to go on Central deputation.
