As Centre today filed a review petition in the Supreme Court on its order reinstating law criminalising homosexuality, Law Minister Kapil Sibal said he hoped the "right of personal choices" is preserved.
"The government has filed a review petition on #377 in the Supreme Court today. Let's hope the right to personal choices is preserved," Sibal posted on Twitter.
The government and Congress had went on an overdrive to criticise the SC judgement reinstating ban on gay sex.

The government's keenness to work out a quick strategy to get out of the logjam in the wake of the SC judgement came after Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi expressed disappointment over the apex court's verdict.
"We will have to change the law. If the SC has upheld that law, then we will certainly have to take firm steps. Change has to be made fast and any delay cannot take place. We will use all means available to make changes at the earliest," Sibal had said following the uproar over the ruling.
