Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said reports that he will be the BJP's chief ministerial candidate in Uttar Pradesh (UP) were "fictitious".

There was no truth in these reports, the veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader told the media here.

The former UP chief minister said he would extend "his full support" to whoever was named the chief ministerial candidate in assembly elections due next year.

He also said he was confident the BJP would win the elections and form a government in the state.

The minister inaugurated a free WiFi service and other passenger amenities at the Charbagh railway station.
