I have no magic wand: Adhir

Asked about his plan of action to rejuvenate the party in the state, Chowdhury said he would work it out in consultation with party leaders

Newly-appointed West Bengal pradesh Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury today said he has no magic wand but will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the aspirations of the party leadership.

"I have been entrusted with the responsibility to lead the party in Bengal. I will discharge my responsibilities. I will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the aspirations of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi," Chowdhury, also the minister of state for Railways, said.

Chowdhury however said he did not have any magic wand. Asked about his plan of action to rejuvenate the party in the state, Chowdhury said he would work it out in consultation with party leaders.
 

Meanwhile, Chowdhury's predecessor Pradip Bhattacharya welcomed the decision and assured all help to the new WBPCC chief.

"I am happy. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is a young and dynamic leader and I will extend all help to him," he said, adding the AICC must have felt the need and has done the right thing.
