Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar on Wednesday, in response to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's sharp remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that the Congress leader is rambling out of "frustration" and "disappointment" as the grand old party was done.
"The Congress party and Rahul Gandhi have been exposed in front of the world. Due to frustration and disappointment, he is speaking anything.
"Yesterday, a channel conducted a sting operation which showed how Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) are trying to change the concept of demonetisation from currency change to "note jugaad," said Kumar.
In response to Rahul Gandhi's allegation of not being allowed to speak in Lok Sabha, Kumar said due to "frustration" and "disappointment", the Congress vice-president is speaking anything.
Denying the allegation put by Rahul Gandhi of having personal corruption-related information of the prime minister, the parliamentary affairs minister said, "Had he got some information, he would have revealed it 20 days before."
Terming the charges levelled against Prime Minister Modi by Rahul Gandhi as baseless, Ananth Kumar said that it is under desperation that he is making such baseless charges.
Kumar emphasised that since the beginning of Parliament session on November 16, the Centre has been asking the Opposition to have a discussion on demonetisation.
Rahul Gandhi earlier on Wednesday said that the prime minister is terrified of him as he would reveal all of his wrong doings.
"I have already said that the prime minister is personally terrified of me being allowed to open my mouth inside the Lok Sabha. The information that I have of the prime minister will explode his balloon," he said.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday dared Rahul Gandhi to "expose" Modi if he had documents at his disposal, saying both the parties indulge in such "friendly match" but do not make any disclosure.
"If Rahul Gandhi actually has papers on Modiji's personal involvement in corruption, then why doesn't he expose it outside Parliament?
"Friendly match - BJP says they have AgustaWestland against Congress. Congress says they have Sahara/Birla against BJP. Both don't disclose," Kejriwal said in a series of tweets.
The Delhi chief minister was reacting to Rahul's remarks that he wants to present in the Lok Sabha detailed information about "personal corruption" by Modi but is not being allowed to do so by the prime minister.
On demonetisation, Kejriwal claimed that traders were miffed with the BJP.
"The traders of the country are saying BJP will take money from us, vote from us and call us thieves? The real thief dines with the PM," he tweeted.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashish Khetan tweeted, "If Rahul Gandhi is not allowed to speak inside the House, then he should speak outside and disclose the information he has about Modiji."
Kejriwal's prodding assumes importance as he has been targeting the prime minister over certain allegations pertaining to the latter's tenure as Gujarat chief minister.
