Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and shall always remain an integral part of India, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today announced celebration of 68th Accession Day of J&K with India on October 27.

"We will celebrate 68th Accession Day of the State of Jammu & Kashmir with the Union of India on 27th October", Chairman JKNPP, Harsh Dev Singh told reporters here today.

Eulogising patriotic sentiments and values, Singh said that JKNPP shall hoist the National flag at all the District headquarters on the Accession Day.

And thereafter, a huge car rally carrying National Flag shall be taken out in the Jammu city to mark the celebration which would finally culminate at Maharaja Hari Singh Park where the party leaders shall unfurl the tricolour with full national honours and address the public gathering.

Singh exhorted the people to celebrate the Accession day with fervour, gaiety and enthusiasm by hoisting tricolour flag atop their homes and shops early in the morning to uphold the national pride and honour.

He spelled out the historic importance of the event recalled that Maharaja Hari Singh on 26th October, 1947 signed the Instrument of Accession at Amar Palace in Jammu which was duly accepted and signed by Lord Mountbatten the then Governor General of India on 27th October, 1947 in Delhi.

He said that by virtue of this instrument, the State of J&K became an integral part of India.

Singh observed that J&K was, is and shall always be an integral part of India and if at all there was any dispute that was with regard to the territories of J&K illegally occupied by Pakistan.

The former Education Minister regretted that of late Pakistan and ISIS flags are being waved brazenly in Kashmir by certain anti-national and anti-social elements due to which the image of the state has severely maligned within and outside the country.

While taking a dig on the BJP he said," the Saffron party despite having governments both at the Centre and in the state has miserably failed to apprehend the malefactors and felons in Kashmir who had fearlessly spewed venom and incited sedition against the country besides hurling Pakistan as well as ISIS flags."

He wondered that how could BJP boast to claim the illegally occupied Indian territory from Pakistan when the belligerent neighbour had been persistently raking up Kashmir issue at the UN and other forums besides, the secessionists roaming freely in the Valley with the BJP government remaining a mute spectator.
