Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to arrive in Ahmedabad on Wednesday for a four-day Gujarat visit amid reports of the party's Gujarat unit demotivated from lack of direction from its main unit in Delhi.
Ruing over the fact that the Delhi main unit has not shared Kejriwal's travel itinerary, one of the senior Gujarat unit AAP leader said that the state unit members have no clue about his travel plans between March 5 and March 8. "All that we know is that he will be in Ahmedabad on Saturday to hold a common rally," the senior state party leader added.
However, according to sources in AAP's Delhi main unit, after arriving in Ahmedabad, Kejriwal is set to visit Bhuj via Bahucharaji and Bhachau and meet representatives of various interest groups such as farmers and villagers, followed by a visit to the Saurashtra region especially to cities like Rajkot and Jamnagar.
It has been learnt that Kejriwal will look to rake up issues of farmers and land acquisition, farmers' water and power woes along with investigating the state of Sikh farmers and fishermen in Gujarat.
"Kejriwal will mostly meet different people groups who are directly or indirectly victims of the state government's administration. After returning to Ahmedabad, Kejriwal would continue to meet any desirous common man who wants to share his or her grievances with him. The whole idea of this trip is to investigate the so-called development claims made by Modi," party sources in the Delhi main unit stated.
