AICC secretary Sanjay Nirupam today asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to stop indulging in "drama" and concentrate on governance instead.

Criticising the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and his ministers for sitting on a dharna to demand suspension of police officials, Nirupam said Kejriwal is a Chief Minister and could resolve issues by negotiating with the Centre.

Kejriwal and his ministers today began a dharna outside Rail Bhavan demanding action against police officials who refused to carry out a raid on an alleged drug and prostitution racket in south Delhi last week.

"He (Kejriwal) should stop indulging in drama and concentrate on governance," Nirupam told reporters.

To a question on whether supporting AAP government was an embarrassment, the MP from Mumbai North admitted that there were two views within the party on extending support.

"The Congress did not want the people of Delhi to be left in lurch without a government. It is now the responsibility of AAP to concentrate on governance," he said.

Nirupam denied that support to AAP was to "expose" the one-year-old party.

"It is true that they have no understanding of governance," he added.
