Kerala won't allow FDI in health sector: Sivakumar

Recommendation changes had also been made in the report,prepared by the State Planing Board

The Kerala government has decided not to allow foreign investment in the health sector, health minister VS Sivakumar said in the Assembly today.

There was a recommendation to accept foreign investment in the draft report prepared by the State Planing Board in its 'Kerala Vision-2030', Sivakumar said in a written reply.

However, after holding discussion at various level, it had been decided to exclude this recommendation.

Necessary instructions were given in this regard and changes had also been made in the report, he added.
