External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid today deferred his visit to Maldives to attend SAARC Foreign Ministers' meeting due to Telangana bill in the Lok Sabha.
Khurshid, who was to leave today for Male to attend the meet on Thursday, deferred his travel to Island nation as he was required to be in Parliament for the passage of the contentious bill.
Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh is already in Maldives to attend the meeting of Foreign Secretaries of SAARC countries.
