Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekar Rao (KCR) on Sunday blamed chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for spearheading the Seemandhra agitation.

"Being the chief minister of a state, he is acting as the JAC (joint action committee) president of one particular area. The Andhra and Telangana regions have already been divided vertically and it is the "foolishness" of the CM to further create confusion," he said addressing a large gathering at Sakala Jana Bheri, a public meeting held at Nizam College Grounds here.

KCR said the chief minister was an epitome of ignorance and competition for power in Seemandhra made him speak lies in a hope to gain goodwill. "His speech on Friday was baseless and totally unintelligent. I still wonder if there are any intelligent people in the Andhra region," he said, adding Kiran Reddy would not remain as chief minister after October 6.

Reddy at a press conference on Friday explained the problems that may erupt, including how water disputes would surface because of the bifurcation of AP.

In case the Centre announces a special package after the bifurcation of AP, it should be given to Telangana, he said at the meeting, which was aimed at mounting pressure on the Centre to expedite the process for the formation of a separate Telangana state.

Meanwhile, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana today wrote a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and requested her to send the AK Antony Committee to Andhra Pradesh before the Union Cabinet considered the Telangana issue.
