Security has been beefed up in the eastern metropolis to prevent any untoward incident during Holi, police said Saturday.
Radio Flying Squads and Heavy Radio Flying Squads will be deployed to maintain constant vigil.
Additional police personnel will be stationed at various spots in the city and policemen in plainclothes will monitor market places and railway stations.
There will be special focus on preventing crimes against women.
