Land Bill pro-farmer, says Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday made a strong pitch for the controversial land acquisition Bill and said it was not anti-farmer. He said if it was pointed out to him that any provision in the Bill was against the interests of farmers, he was ready to change it. The prime minister flayed the opposition parties for opposing the Bill and not letting it pass in the Rajya Sabha.
