Left parties would try to corner the government by raising issues like price rise, growing unemployment and corruption scandals in the winter session of Parliament starting tomorrow.
Left sources said their leaders have already submitted an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to raise a discussion on price rise to attack the government.
Exuding confidence that other opposition parties would also join them in raising the demand for discussion on rising inflationary graph, they said CPI(M), CPI, Forward Bloc and RSP planned to corner the Congress-led coalition by raking up the issue of hike in prices of essential commodities - ranging from onions to salt, besides petroleum products.

By refusing to call Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram for questioning in connection with the probe, JPC chairman P C Chacko had omitted a crucial aspect of the inquiry into the 2G scam, the Left parties have maintained.
They are also likely to join other opposition parties in raising corruption scandals like the CWG and coal scams, the sources said.
The Left parties would also seek a discussion on the ongoing Bali meeting of the WTO on food security issue, saying the interests of Indian farmers should not be compromised to benefit developed countries under any circumstances.
The menace of Left Wing Extremism (LWE) and the law and order situation in West Bengal are also likely to be raised by them.
