Ministers from Andhra- Rayalaseema regions, who claimed that they would quit their posts if a decision to bifurcate the state was taken, remained evasive today, saying "nothing has happened yet".

After a meeting with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy this afternoon, ministers T G Venkatesh, Erasu Pratap Reddy, Ganta Srinivas and others merely said they would hold a meeting again tomorrow and discuss the course of action.

"Nothing has happened yet. Only the Congress has announced its decision. We are still hopeful that the process (to create Telangana state) will not go through," the ministers remarked.

As about their resignations, the ministers remained evasive and said they had "already submitted" a letter to the party.

Meanwhile, Rural Development Minister Dokka Manikya Varaprasad and Animal Husbandry Minister P Viswaroop said separately that their resignation was not a solution to the issue.

Dokka even added that there was no need for anyone to resign as the Congress high command has taken a decision.
