The session is likely to be stormy as the opposition Congress has lined up a series of issues to put the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Chief Minister Raman Singh on defensive mode. The deteriorating law and order in the state couple would be the first to begin with.
Leader of Opposition T S Singhdeo said the other issues that would come up include rape and murder of a tribal woman in Bastar allegedly by the security forces, death of two children after they consumed milk supplied to them under chief minister's Amrut Yojana in tribal Bijapur district in Bastar region.
The legislators have submitted in all 1199 questions for the monsoon session of the assembly besides 90 call attentions.
The session would be the maiden after former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi quit the party and floated his separate political outfit. His son Amit and wife Renu are the members of Chhattisgarh legislative assembly. Amit has been expelled from the party for alleged anti-party activities. Renu is still in the Congress.
A couple of legislators are also staunch supporter of Jogi. But none including Renu had announced to join Jogi's party.
