Continuing to target Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister over the MPPEB scam, former Union Minister Jyotiradiya Scindia today said Shivraj Singh Chouhan should step down for an "impartial probe".
"I feel very strongly that unless Chouhan resigns, there cannot be an impartial probe into the MPPEB scam. The Congress had been raising the MPPEB issue since the last one year," Scindia told reporters after a meeting held here to review the work carried out by the district administration.
Congress had accused Chouhan and his family members of being involved in the MPPEB scam.

The Congress leader said, "The MPPEB scam is not only about corruption, but has hit values and principles."
Talking to reporters in Indore yesterday, Scindia had raised questions over the probe into the scam being presently conducted by the Special Task Force (STF) and sought the CBI to investigate the case.
Criticising the Centre over the issue of inflation, he said, "Soon after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister prices have risen. Is this what they meant when they said good days are coming?"
The STF had arrested former state technical education minister and BJP leader Laxmikant Sharma on June 15 for his alleged involvement in contractual teachers recruitment scam.
Over 100 students, who allegedly cleared the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) through unfair means, had also been arrested by STF from different districts of the state.
