N.Rangasamy to pay homage to Rajiv Gandhi

He later administered the "anti terrorism pledge" to all those present at the venue

Chief Minister N.Rangasamy led the Union Territory of Puducherry to pay homage at the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 23rd death anniversary today.

Rangasamy later administered the "anti terrorism pledge" to all those present at the venue who included the Speaker V Sabapathy, Deputy Speaker, ministers, legislators and delegates of different wings of ruling AINRC.

Leaders of Hindu, Christian and Islam religions read out the highlights of scriptures of their respective religions. Students of Jawahar Bal Bhavan rendered devotional songs.

Members of different wings of the opposition Congress, led by PCC Chief A V Subramanian, senior leader V.Narayanasamy also paid tributes to the leader.
 

Earlier Narayanasamy paid floral tributes at the portrait of Rajiv Gandhi at the PCC office and recalled his services to the nation.
