Narendra Modi a champion: Sukhbir Singh Badal

Says Modi is a decisive and focused leader whom the nation needs today

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has already been declared a champion by electoral surveys and the country will soon have an NDA government at the Centre.

"Modi is a decisive and focused leader whom the nation needs today," he told media persons here.

"In the ongoing political kabbadi, Modi has already been declared a champion by electoral surveys and the nation will soon have an NDA government at the Centre," Sukhbir said.

"Modi is the only alternative before the electorate," he said.

In an apparent reference to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, the SAD president said "there is no comparison between the leader of masses (Modi) and the Yuvraj (Rahul)."
 

"There is widespread anger among people against the Congress and it is bound to lose the assembly polls in Delhi and other states," he said.

The Congress-led UPA government is responsible for the dismal fiscal situation in the country, the junior Badal said.
