Nitish supports Lokpal Bill

JD(U), which recently walked out of NDA, has nine members in Rajya Sabha and 20 in Lok Sabha

Press Trust of India Patna
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today supported the Lokpal Bill which is slated to be taken up in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow.

"We welcome the Lokpal Bill," Kumar, also JD(U) leader, told reporters here.

JD(U), which recently walked out of NDA, has nine members in Rajya Sabha and 20 in Lok Sabha.

Kumar, however, refused to comment on Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal describing the Bill as "weak and would not be in a position to send even a mouse to jail."

"Every comment does not deserve a reaction from me," he said when his reaction was sought on Kejriwal's views.

Kumar dwelled on the significance of Lokpal legislation and said the state had already established a strong Lokayukta in furtherance of this.
