BJP's Uttar Pradesh in-charge Amit Shah today said that the country was supporting the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi after witnessing his achievements as the Gujarat Chief Minister.
"People are demanding Modi as the PM because they have seen the progress of Gujarat... It reflects Modi's achievements," Shah said while addressing a public meeting to pay tributes to BJP leader late Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary, today in Nagala Chandra Bhan.
Comparing the development facilities for the common man in Gujarat to that of Uttar Pradesh, Shah claimed that people in the BJP-run states were happy because the state governments were following ideologies of Upadhayaya.
He added that the country would have been on the top of the world had the policies been framed and run on the ideologies of the late BJP leader.
