Addressing the Vijay Shankhnad Rally at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the crowd shows the change in the direction of the wind in the state.
He went on to add that in this cold and that too in far-flung areas, a rally can attract so many people. The wind is blowing in a particular direction.
"The people have already decided the results of the election, Congress mukt Bharat will be a reality," he said.
The trailer for 2014 Lok Sabha elections happened in December and see the results, said the Gujarat Chief Minister.

"Some people feel poor, Dalits, tribals and marginalised people are in their pockets. They treat them not as humans but as vote banks. It was said the BJP could not win among the SC and ST communities. But, I want to say the truth from this land. There is a trust that the marginalised communities are placing in the BJP. As soon as the elections come Congress remembers the poor," he said.
Hitting back at the Congress over their tea-vendor jibe, he said, "See their (Congress party's) mentality. They do not like if a chaiwallah, a son of a poor mother walks with his head held high. The Congress has insulted the poor, mocked my origins as a tea vendor."
The BJP leader also took a dig at Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for saying that Modi will not be able to convert Uttar Pradesh into Gujarat. "Netaji, do you know the meaning of coverting to Gujarat? It means 24-hour electricity in every village and street. You can't do it. It requires 56-inch chest," Modi said, apparently suggesting that it requires decisiveness.
Earlier, Yadav hit out at Modi, saying his hands were "soaked in blood". The SP boss blamed Modi for failing to stop the communal violence in Gujarat in 2002.

Referring to Subhash Chandra's Bose's famous lines 'you give me blood, I will give you freedom', he said, "You (people) give me 60 months and I will give you a life of peace. I have come here to make this promise." Noting that Gujarat under him had witnessed sustained high growth, the state Chief Minister said, "We don't want to see India crying and with begging hand. I want to say that you have selected rulers for 60 years, I have come to ask only for 60 months. Elect this servant once as see."
The BJP's rally was exclusively for eastern UP, consisting 62 Assembly and 13 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP has only 3 Lok Sabha members from the area at present.
