President arriving tomorrow on a two-day visit to West Bengal

After an overnight stay at Raj Bhavan, Mukherjee will leave for Durgapur to attend the 9th convocation of the National Institute of Technology

President Pranab Mukherjee will arrive here tomorrow on a two-day visit to West Bengal, during which he will attend functions at three educational institutions.

State Secretariat sources said Mukherjee, upon his arrival from New Delhi in the afternoon, will head for Science City to inaugurate an International Conference on Accountancy Profession organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

In the evening, he will attend a function at Raj Bhavan in connection with the presentation of a copy of the commemorative volume on Rev. Krishna Mohan Banerjee, former president of the Indian Association.

After an overnight stay at Raj Bhavan, Mukherjee will leave for Durgapur to attend the 9th convocation of the National Institute of Technology.
 

After that, he will attend the annual convocation of Burdwan University and lay the foundation stone of the Golden Jubilee Building there.

He will leave for New Delhi on a special IAF plane from the Air Force base at Panagarh in Burdwan, the sources said.
