Rajya Sabha today dispensed with the scheduled private members' resolutions to allow a full debate on the Lokpal Bill.

Chairman Hamid Ansari said it has been the practice of the House that no bill is passed without a full debate unless both sides agree to forgo it.

The bill will be taken up for discussion immediately after laying of papers, he said.

To enable a full debate on the Lokpal Bill, he said private members' business, which was scheduled for 2:30 PM, would be dispensed with.
