Rahul Gandhi to hold road show in Uttar Pradesh

Gandhi is scheduled to meet 'aanganwadi' workers and cooks of mid-day meals at Chinhat in Lucknow

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi arrives here Friday on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh and will hold a road show in the state.

The Gandhi scion will land at the Amausi airport here after which he will interact with a group of editors at a five-star hotel and then hold a road show in the city.

He is later scheduled to go to Barabanki, on the outskirts of the state capital and offer prayers at Deva Sharif, Congress leader P.L. Punia told IANS.

"He (Rahul Gandhi) is a leader who is very popular with youngsters and the people in my parliamentary constituency are looking forward to this visit," he added.

 

Gandhi is also scheduled to meet 'aanganwadi' workers and cooks of mid-day meals at Chinhat in Lucknow.

Rahul will fly to Mirzapur March 1 and will address a public rally and will then drive to Varanasi where he will hold a meeting with rickshaw pullers.

The two-day road show comes after a gap of almost two years.
