Taking feedback from state Congress chiefs a day after the All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday ascertained their views in firming the party's election strategy for 2014.
Gandhi, who interacted with pradesh Congress presidents and AICC office-bearers, including general secretaries, assured them that alliances would be drawn up keeping the demands of state Congress units in mind.
When some states voiced their view that Congress should only enter into “respectable” pre-poll alliances, Gandhi told them then they should be strong enough to go it alone.
PCC chiefs from across states thanked Gandhi for reaching out to the lower middle class and relaxing the cap on LPG cylinders from 9 to 12.
