Rahul Gandhi will hold his first formal interaction this Saturday with the newly-appointed Congress office bearers, which is seen as a team constituted by the party vice president for the 2014 Lok Sabha battle.
Gandhi is expected to utilise the occasion to gear up the party for the future challenges at a time when the Assembly elections in four states including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are on the cards by the year-end. Other poll-bound states are Chhattisgarh and Delhi.
Assembly elections in Jharkhand also appear to be round the corner with the President's rule in the state expiring on July 18 and Congress so far not keen to form a government. JMM has been pressing it for the past six months for an alliance to form a coalition in the tribal dominated state.
