Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has maintained that she believes in the politics of transforming the state, instead of pursuing vengeful politics.

Since assuming power in December last year, her government has taken several important decisions for people's welfare.

The government decided not to implement FDI in Multi Brand Retail, in the view of adverse impact on employment opportunities for youth in the state.

It has also decided to supply uninterrupted single-phase power for domestic connections.

Raje's government has also decided to constitute the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Staff Selection Board, which would ease the process of recruitments.

The state government has decided to give a monthly pension of Rs. 6,000 and monthly medical assistance of Rs. 600 to Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA) and Defence of India Rules (DIR) prisoners.

It was also decided to raise an armed battalion in the tribal area in the name of the great warrior of Rajasthan, Maharana Pratap, headquartered in Pratapgarh.

Single-lane district roads in the state will be upgraded as state highways, and strengthening and widening works on these roads will be carried out.

The state government also said that for speedy, simple and systematic redressal of public grievances, it was decided to initiate a new process 'Sampark Samadhan' by developing a new portal "Rajasthan Sampark".

Apart from these new measures aimed at the development of the state and its peoples, Raje has also decided to reduce her personal security staff by half and deploy them for public service.

She has also decided to take away personal security guards of MLAs and deploy them for public service.

In fact, she has chosen to live in a smaller government accommodation instead of shifting to the grand CM residence.
