Ram Gopal Yadav back in Samajwadi Party as General Secretary

He was expelled from the party for six years by party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav

Sacked Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, who is a staunch supporter of CM Akhilesh Yadav has been reinstated in the party.

This was informed to the media by a press release issued by the Samajwadi Party. Ram Gopal Yadav will continue to serve as SP's General Secretary, spokesperson and will be part of SP Central Parliamentary board.

He was sacked from the party by the party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav when the struggle was on its peak. However, Ram Gopal Yadav is not back in the  cabinet of Akhilesh Yadav for now.

Responding to the reinstatement, Ram Gopal Yadav said, "This was ought to happen, my reinstatement is a blessing of Netaji, he was never against me." (Yeh toh hona hi tha; party mein wapsi hai Netaji ki kripa hai; Netaji kabhi mere khilaaf nhi the).
 

He added, "Mai toh ghar mei hi tha; technically party se nikaal diya gaya tha, par mai toh party mei humesha se tha". (I was always in the house. Technically the removed me form the party, but I was always a part of it.)

Uttar Pradesh's ruling Samajwadi Party expelled its national General Secretary and spokesman Ram Gopal Yadav from the party for six years on October 23.
