Rs 8,500 cr adjunct budget passed without debate in Madhya Pradesh

The state assembly got adjourned sine-die amid Vyapam uproar from Opposition

Vyapam scam claimed another session of State Assembly as the Monsoon session got adjourned sine die following ruckus over the scam. However, four important Bills, including Madhya Pradesh "Tang Karne Wali Mukadmebaji (Nivaran) Vidheyak 2015" (Prevention of irritating legal practices Bill 2015, and first adjunct budget of Rs 8,500 crore got passed without any debate. The House also passed a Bill that pertains to amended of certain sections and provisions of Industrial Dispute Act 1947.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, BSP (Bahujan Samajwadi Party) members demanded resignation of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

They trooped into the well and started shouting slogans demanding resignation of CM over the scam. The din in assembly reached at peak after a BJP MLA Narendra Kushwaha was seen rushing towards them aggressively. The BSP members alleged that Kushwaha pointed his slipper at them in the House.

 

However, Kushwaha denied the allegation later. Speaker Sitasharan Sharma adjourned the proceedings twice on the issue. When the House reassembled for proceedings, the Congress members led by leader of Opposition raised the issue of yesterday's incidence of misbehavior with him and alleged that the speaker was not paying any heed to their plea. Later they staged sit- in protest in the well insistently demanding Chouhan's resignation on Vyapam and kept on shouting slogans against him. Meanwhile, the House finished today's business, Speaker Sitasaran Sharma adjourned the proceedings sine die.
