Security has been beefed up across Tamil Nadu ahead of the 21st anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition tomorrow, police said.
Over 50,000 police personnel have been deployed in various parts of the state for security purposes even as places being frequented by people- railway stations, bus stops and places of worship- have been given adequate security cover.
Police said armed security had been posted in many places including the Central railway station here with GRP and RPF coordinating the security measures including screening of baggage and sniffer dogs being put into service.

Further, vehicle checks have been intensified, they said.
Kar sevaks had demolished the Babri mosque at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh in 1992 on December 6.
