Seemandhra MPs threaten no-trust motion as last Parliament session begins

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has sought the support of Opposition for smooth functioning of House

The Congress lawmakers from Seemandhra are moving notices for a no-confidence motion against the government for its decision to press ahead with its plans to introduce the Telangana Bill, reports NDTV
 
Notices for the no-confidence motion were sent to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Wednesday morning, hours before the winter session is expected to resume.

Both houses of Parliament have been ajourned till noon following a ruckus over Telanagana.
 
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appealed to all sections in Parliament to cooperate with govt to pass important legislations. 
 
"Hope all sections will have wisdom to set aside prejudices and create atmosphere conducive to harmonious working of the House," Singh added.

"Well I think these are hiccups. I hope all sections of the House will have the wisdom to set aside these prejudices and create an atmosphere conducive to harmonious working of the House," Singh told reporters outside Parliament House on the opening day of phase II of winter session.    
 
 
The government has listed several bills which it seeks to pass during the session which will end on February 21. Besides the interim budget, government wants to pass the Telangana Bill as well as some anti-corruption legislations. 
 
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath had earlier appealed to all political parties to give the highest priority to anti-corruption bills, without causing disruptions during the last session of the 15th Lok Sabha.
