Ruling Trinamool Congress today said that nobody's absence from the party has not made it weaker or cast any adverse impact on its functioning. "Trinamool Congress does not believe in individualistic style of functioning. The party believes in pluralism and so somebody's absence will not have any significant impact", secretary-general of the party and higher education minister Partha Chatterjee said.
Chatterjee was replying to a query on whether the absence of former all-India general secretary (read Mukul Roy) from the party would have any impact on the results of the upcoming civic polls in the state in which the party was contesting in all the 2190 seats.
"Who said he is absent from the party. He is very well within it. The issue is we keep our leader and chief minister Mamata Banerjee on the forefront and we work together as a team. If there is any lacunae, we try to rectify it", Chatterjee said at a press meet here.
