Leaders of parties like the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S), who did not extend support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the elections, have reportedly decided to attend prime minister-designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony on Monday evening.
The daughter of TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, K.Kavitha, announced that she along with her father will attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony.
Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda of the JD-S is also likely to attend the ceremony.
India has invited leaders of all South Asian countries, including Nawaz Sharif to Modi's oath-taking ceremony scheduled for May 26.
The swearing-in ceremony, to be held at the forecourt of the historic Rashtrapati Bhavan, is likely to be attended by as many as 3,000 guests, the report added.
