TRS, JD-S leaders likely to attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony

The swearing-in ceremony, to be held at the forecourt of the historic Rashtrapati Bhavan, is likely to be attended by as many as 3,000 guests

Leaders of parties like the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S), who did not extend support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the elections, have reportedly decided to attend prime minister-designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony on Monday evening.

The daughter of TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, K.Kavitha, announced that she along with her father will attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony.

Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda of the JD-S is also likely to attend the ceremony.

India has invited leaders of all South Asian countries, including Nawaz Sharif to Modi's oath-taking ceremony scheduled for May 26.
