Two persons arrested near Modi's mega rally

Two persons with knives were today arrested from near a ground where BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address a rally, police said here.

Munnilal (50) and Tilakdhaari (48) were nabbed with knives from near the venue of Modi's rally in Maanbela area, Assistant Superintendent of Police Paresh Pandey said.

The BJP will herald its electioneering in the eastern UP with its 'Vijay Shankhanad Rally' today.

He said that they have been taken to Chituataal police station and were being interrogated.

The convicts have been booked under the Arms Act, he added.
