Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday called on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at his official residence here to apprise him of the problems being faced by Sena legislators in their respective constituencies.

The meeting, which began at around 8:15 p.m., lasted for around one and a half hour and included Minister Eknath Shinde, and Sena legislators Subhash Desai, Sunil Prabhu, Pratap Sarnaik, Neelam Gorhe among others.

"Sena leaders apprised the Chief Minister of the problems which our legislators are facing. They also discussed ways in which these problems could be sorted out. In the course of this meet, Sena legislators also gave in writing to him the development work done by them in their respective constituencies," a Sena leader said.

He said Fadnavis and Thackeray would meet again and review the progress after three months.

Meanwhile, an official from the CMO said that it has been decided to set up joint committees of MLAs from both the parties to work and solve major issues regarding public grievances.

Such meetings will be held after every three months to take periodic review of these issues and monitor progress time to time, the official added.
